Time for one last lunch before we had back to the airport and back to Shanghai.
There were many interesting and colorful places of business down one street.
Even little boys like to dress up.
Popular stands have long lines.
Sweet desserts
This display looks very "Christmassy". Its melons and red peppers.
Fried things.
This is a drinks stand. Watermelon juice is popular.
Colorful display. Items on very right are curly fries.
Matryoshka - Russian nestling dolls. We did not explore. Just seemed a strange thing to have on Muslim street!
She is selling dolls and fans.
The outside of our restaurant. We were not allowed to take photos inside.
I did take a photo of my very large bowl of "Beef Pancake Soup". The Muslim quarter of Xi'an is known for this dish. It was very delicious. The "pancakes" tasted like thick noodles to me.
A statue of an old farmer and his wagon. Made a good resting place for the couple on the left.
goodness is that a dairy queen logo behind all that? Everything seems incredibly clean - or is that just your photos?
ReplyDeleteI like that last statue!
