9-22 Pescara

 Pescara - one of the most boring towns we have seen.  No medieval town at all.  I am thinking it all got destroyed by WWII.  An everything they have done since then has been to modernize the area.  We drove to Piazza government buildings - boring!!!

Then we saw this - It says to all the workers who died.  But it is at the sea front.  So not sure what that means.

So this is government squire.  It is all too modern and not interesting at all.

We walk to a bridge and see this monument -- there is another one on the other side of the bridge.

Below the bridge there are fishing equipment.  

On the other side of the bridge - it looks like paintings of parts of a stork.

Then we walk a long ways to the main piazza.  It again is not very interesting.  Lots of people congregating.

There is a women busking for money.

We find a restaurant and have lunch - it is OK.. 

Then walk to the Adriatic sea.  

I had seen photos of this fountain.  The water is very dirty.  I don't get the symbolism.

Hey - we could have had lunch on the upper terrace of this hotel!!

We walk along the waterfront path.  There is a restaurant called Restaurant Shanghai!!  Send this to Lisa.!

Same seaside with lots of chairs and umbrellas.

And then we walk back to our parking lot with the weird church in front of it.  After that we headed home.
