This was our last stop of the day. The Acropolis was less strenuous that expected. The Roman Agora was really small. The Ancient Agora had a lot of stuff spread over more area. Our first glimpse was from a busy restaurant street. The first scene houses the museum - with graffiti on it. A train track runs directly in front of it - and the trains are brightly painted with lettering on it.
Restaurant Street.
One of our first views once inside the Ancient Agora - a row of statues.
A triad of a capital in the foreground, a church in the middle and the Acropolis at the top.
The detail has eroded but you can still see figures.
A "graveyard" of broken statues and images.
Some beautiful flowers - not sure what they are.
Inside the Church of the Holy Apostles.
Inside the museum.
Here's what I want for my 70th birthday - but has to be my face. I will put vodka in it.
Pottery showing the different periods of Greek history.
Love the geometric period!
A grave of a young girl.
After we left the Ancient Agora we walked to the nearest large street to catch a cab. Just a few street scenes.
This guy is carrying chairs down the street.
so for your 70th birthday, does it have to be your current head or your head as a child?
