October 23 - Our last day with family!

 Today we did not want to travel far - so we decided to go back to Syracuse to see the Island of Ortigia.  Alexis and family went to the local beach and swam in the ocean.  It was not very warm - but the girls were happy with the experience.  We drove back to Syracuse for lunch.  3 of us had the lasagna which was excellent.  Pasta has been consistently excellent here.  We wandered through Ortigia island.  We found a gelato place where they enticed us to have the upgraded pricing for a salted Carmel gelato.  I got one scoop that was shared by all - it was very good.  A few street scenes from the day.
