We were so happy to be able to visit Valley of the Temples in Agrigento in spite of the weather forecast. Today was supposed to be another bad day - but we only had sprinkles as we drove from Agrigento to our next rental house in Carini. We have a great rental with fantastic views. BUT - that means a crazy drive up the mountain on single lane roads with extreme switchbacks with two way traffic!! Michael managed to navigate just fine - but he was quite stressed by it. This is nothing like the wide open roads in the US of A. Here are some views from the upstairs deck.
View down to the parking area with our rental car. The skies are grey but so far no rain.
It brightened up a bit by afternoon. The Ionian sea is in the distance.
On the left is another of the cactus we saw in the Valley of the Temples garden area.
I am pretty sure the round thing is indeed for laundry drying of small garments, that or a half-finished do it yourself coat rack.
ReplyDeleteI know this activity well, the hanging of wet garments over every space in a rental apartment. It's like a hamper explodes in your living space every week or so.
