October 20 - Fishing Villages - Portopalo di Capo and Marzarnemi

Today my request was to tour some quaint fishing villages.  It turns out the first one is an actual working fishing port.  It took us many turns and twists to find the port.  I found it interesting - but the others not so much.

The weather was beautiful - even though it was mid-day and not the best time for photos.  I especially liked the ship skeleton with the boat tied up to it.  But most else were bored so we set off for the second town of Marzarnemi.

We had lunch at a highly rated restaurant called " Nassa" .  All the tables were booked except one - a table for 4 which we crowded around.  The food was delicious.  The girls were enamored by a mother cat and her kittens close by - and took many photos of them.  That kept them entertained during lunch.  The water view was wonderful as well.

And we found a park that had been sponsored by the local Rotary Club!

A house for rent just a few meters off the mainland.  I'm thinking you could rent it out for a mucho amount of USD.

                                                                         Gelato time!
