October 25 - San Leone Mose'

We finished at the Valley of the Temples around 12:30 and so headed down to the waterfront for  some lunch.  The restaurants weren't open yet so we walked around and took a few photos.  A lot of the restaurants have closed for the season, so it can be frustrating finding one you might like and then discovering it is closed.  But so far we have good luck finding great meals.  Todays was OK.  There is a lot of guesswork  in choosing a menu item.  You can translate the Italian words into English - but sometimes the play on words can stump you.  Michael found the menu item I choose on the internet - it looked like it would be meatballs in tomato sauce inside some kind of dough and deep fried.  It turned out to be a very think slice of veal breaded in pistachio and olive and very wet, not crisp.  I hated it.  Luckily for me my husband loves trying strange things.
