I have been taking photos from the apartment and while I was out and about the town. So here is a photo dump.
RM likes to cook as well, so of course we took her to the Wednesday market. And of-course we bought way too much stuff. The cart is filled to the brim and spilling over with fruits and vegetables. A very large vegetable stew was served for dinner - the rest frozen for RM to take back to Madrid with her.
We parked on the other side of the market this time - closer to the food market than the clothing. Here we saw a stage set up with a medieval castle - all part of the celebration of the Moors and the Christians I am sure!
The pinchos at the Lizarren were well set for the vegetarian palate. They especially made two of the vegetable spring rolls - but also there was the hot brei on bread, and cold things like tortilla (egg with potato and cheese). Michael really got into the cold pinchos and I had my favorite - chorizo. I took off my light colored sweater and ate them very carefully. This time no orange sprays across my shirt!
Two of the cold pinchos Michael enjoyed.
We followed lunch with el helado. The top one was my new favorite - easter egg! This is vanilla with swirls of soft creamy chocolate in it.
Fish eye view from the apartment side window back towards town and the mountains.
Sunset views from the apartment
And sunrise photos from the apartment.
This last one is hard to see unless you zoom in. On Saturday morning I noticed these kayakers on the water. I have never seen so many at one time. It seemed to be a very large class as they would paddle from the left to the point on the right and then turn and go back.
I can see why you like the pinchos - it is fun to have someone wander by with fresh, hot treats every so often, while enjoying the view of the sea.
ReplyDeletethe pinchos make me think of dim sum! As I write this comment it is the morning before the kids make the journey over. They are super excited to all of this
