April 28 Kalamata

Our first full day in Greece and it is Easter Sunday.  Today a lot of Greeks have a big family dinner sometime after noon.  We took a walk to a train playground and passed several families enjoying a family gathering.  On our walk Lia and I were looking for things to take photos of that made us happy.

The oranges here are in season and are so delicious - of course they make us happy!

Then we got to the waterfront - and I was on my own.

We stopped for soda's and coffee.

We continued our walk - heading for a park that was filled with trains.

The former train station, now a cafe.

Right next to the cafe was a small area with a couple of rides.  The horse was the only thing they wanted to ride on.
