Our last day in Madrid will be spent sleeping late, packing for our next journey and one last foray out to take photos in our neighborhood.
The local Mercado. We tried to go to a restaurant here once - but the Mercado itself was closed.
School is out for the day and people seem to be gathering in squares letting their kids let off steam.

At this point in our walk - Michael turned and pointed to that bridge in a distance - That is where we need to be to get back to our apartment! So another long walk today.

We came upon this plaza with these three statues - it is across the square from the structure in the next two photos.
This is a fountain with water flowing down. My photos did not capture the moving water at all.

Then we were home and ready to do our final packing. We will be picked up at 9:30 am to go to the airport to pick up our rental car. From there we will drive to El Campello where we will be staying for the month of October.
