Nashville, Tennesse

I really enjoyed this city.  Today the weather was totally clear blue skies.  It was cold- woke up to 35 degrees C this morning.  So we had to get out all the layers we had.  But when the sun was out it felt much warmer.  We had a fun time finding a parking garage.  Mike had The searched and found that there was free parking by the Tennessee State Museum.  Unfortunately the museum has moved and none of the maps show the new locations.  So we ended up spending $40 dollars on parking.  The State capitol seems to be on the top of the hill,we walked down many blocks to get to the visitors center.  We ended up on Broadway, which is the street of many bars and restaurants that play music.  we are in the off season so not so much music and lots more road construction. So we just started walking.

This is Broadway.  The visitors center is the  building on the left.

These are views of the Music City Center.  There was a private event happening so we could not see much of it.  But it was an interesting building.

We could see the Songwriter Hall of Fame section.
So many interesting pictures with a fish eye lens.

Then we started to roam the city.

There was a Barbershop museum also.

And several signs about religious buildings that had moved from their central location.  Besides the one below there was one for a Greek Orthodox church.
 Streent art.

Wall Art.

Close to the Tennessee Capitol Building.

The Tennessee State Museum has moved to a new location way in back of the Capitol Building.  There is also a war memorial.

Then on to the Tennessee Museum  A view from the building of the downtown.

Inside the museum.  The museum was very well laid out and very informative.  Pictures don't do it justice.  So here are some fish eye shots inside.
