9/1 Falesbo Lighthouse

 Today Rob was busy so it was Alexis and us driving along the coast.  We went to Falesbo Lighthouse a ways away.  

The walk to the lighthouse is through the golf coarse.  There were signs with warnings - if someone yells "Fore"  you need to duck!

I walked to the back of the lighthouse area thinking I would be close to the water - no - so far away.  But a better view.

Then we headed toward the water and the wildlife area.

There were many of these plants along the way.  They are Rugosa Roses which originated in Eastern Asia. 

There were so many people coming and going from this area.  It turned these are birders.  They were all men.  All facing different directions - all with strong binoculars and perhaps cameras.  

I am more of a landscape person myself.

I took a photo of the wildlife in the distance thinking it was seals - but no - it was birds.

This area is actually a seal sanctuary from February 1 until October 31.  You can only walk on this beach in November December and January.
