9-18 Morning walk Mallmutlar

Today there is a 90% + chance it will rain.  And we have the clouds to prove it!  Most of the time here the skies are like Albuquerque - just blue with no clouds at all.  The first three photos were taken from our balcony.

Then we started our walk.  Our plan is to walk to the park we went to a few days ago and follow the path down to the sea.  We pass this mural.  It is behind a locked gate - hence the angle.

We pass a hookah establishment - as we have many times before.  There is seating outside.  But I wanted to take a photo of the hookahs themselves.  Also got reflection of the street and Michael.

A green grocer - before it opens.  They leave things out overnight - just cover them up.  There is still bread in the glass cabinet from yesterday.

It is called Sairler Park.  It is mainly a long walkway to the road that is front of the sea.  There are seating areas off to the side of the path along the way.

And there are these "books" open to a page with a picture of a man - and it is always a man - and an explanation of why he was famous.

I have mentioned before the Turkish fascination with cats.  Not actually pet cats in your home, but shared outdoor cats.  There are frequent feeding/watering stations and some that include sleeping quarters for the cats.  This one was desperate for attention.  He kept winding around my legs and frequently grabbing my legs with his front paws - but never with his claws out.

This is the building I have been wanting to take a night photo of.  Maybe I will before we leave.

One of the little seating areas of the park.  This statue of a child picking an apple is quite realistic.

We followed a couple carrying beachy things.  And were led to this walkway under the road leading to the beach.

The beach is more dirt than sand.  I saw these fishermen.

Note his reflection in the water in the front of the photo.

This is up from the beach on the board walk.  I was trying to use the grid in my camera to perfectly align the building in the middle.

Now we are walking on the boardwalk taking photos down to the beach.  We came upon this dock.

Then we found a tunnel to get back across the busy street underground.

This one almost looks sureal.

Michael is in "signs of the world" heaven!  It was a construction site.

Street scenes on our way home.

You know you are in tourist central when you pass a bank of ATM's

Entrance to an apartment complex.

A silk store.
Reflections of Michael and a stranger crossing paths.

This is the mosque we can see from our apartment window.  We hear the call to prayer many times a day.

A door to a park.

An interesting concept.  Homemade frozen meals to buy and take away.
