May 14 Photos from Class with Mark

So today is actually Sunday - and I have finally finished processing all of my photos.  I have deleted so many - but that is what happens to professionals as well per Mark.  So here goes:

So - first a lesson about soft light from a window.  You have a slight shadow on the other side of the face.

Then taking photos from different angles around a vase.  Direct lighting.

After taking photos from all directions - which is your favorite?

Then out into the streets to shoot this lion fountain.

Photos from under a balcony.

Then a scene in front of a restaurant.

A park and playing with light from the trees.

Across from the park and shooting scenes around the courthouse.

A short distance away the Clerigos  church and tower.  We did not climb up the tower.

Working with this photo was very interesting.  We did not change the total picture a whole lot.  But then we focused on the TutTut and really brightened it up.  Does it look fake?

Working with reflections in glass.

A man carrying a sink of all things.

We kept waiting for the birds to go in flight.  They were not spooked by anything.

But, then someone threw them birdseed!

And onto photos of doors.  Now that I know how to straighten them up easily.

On to the beach at the location where the Douro river meets the Atlantic.

  1. The light from the side really makes the portrait look professional!

I think theTuktuk looks natural. In my mind that's how it looks when I'm just using eyes in a dark space.
