November 1 - Segesta

 Today we planned  as another tourist day for us.  Our goal was to go to Segesta to see the ancient capital of the Elymians.  The ancient city of Segesta is in the hillside along with a Doric Temple that was never finished.  We paid 12 Euros each to walk up a steep hill to see the temple.  The first thing we saw was this sign:

Don't make a sound - just be silent and pretend you aren't even there!

Views of the country side.  The skies were very gray.  I tried to save them, but with little luck.

The road on the bottom  leads to more of the old ruins of the city of Segesta.  We did not pay the additional 12 euros to take the shuttle bus up.  At the top there is another Greek unfinished theatre.  We have seen many so choose not to go.

But that left a choice - where else would we o?
