I took photos of the area around our apartment over several days. Most of the time it has been overcast and grey. The sun has come out occasionally, but this night was the only beautiful sunset we had all the time we have been here.
Two fountains near us. The red in this photo is where the eating street is and leads to the mall. I have posted photos of this area before.
We had to pass this fruit stand every time we walked out side our apartment. They specialized in Durian fruit. Durian is the worst smelling fruit there is. I can't remember what it tastes like - as the smell overwhelmed whatever flavor it has. People either hate it or love it.
Next the area near the water.
There is a walk way along the water - but not too long. You can't get from here to the one that continues to the right as there is a big drainage ditch between. It is also quite boring. I really had to stretch to get photos that flattered the area.
They seriously worked for a very long time - I'm guessing they are digging for some kind of seafood.
Fish farm in the distance.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped.
Back up by the area across the street from the mall.
Next - the only sunset we had. The first few views are away from the sunset and towards the main road.
A short road dead ends on the large highway running vertically.
Traffic circles are heavily used in Malaysia.
The construction next to us.
And now the sunset across the water. These photos are cropped to cut out all the construction in the foreground.
I made a video of the final setting of the sun - but I will not bore you with that. People whose apartments faced the water would have gotten even better photos. I was glad to catch these.
We are almost through with our trip. I will put up one more foodie post. We drove from JB to KL today and are in our hotel room at the Sama Sama at the airport. Tomorrow morning we fly out at 7:15AM. So it will be a short night and a very long Wednesday for us. We get home tonight at 9PM Albuquerque time. But it will be 35-40 hours for us.
