4/5 Old Town JB - Part 2

We have found a lot of street art in JB Old Town.  This was on a small side street along with the next 6 photos.

Bleeding heart.

Cactusus?

As we were taking photos on this street, people would pass by us and try to see what we were photographing - then they would smile.  To them its as it has always been.  Maybe they will look at these things with a new view.

Another side street.

View into a store.

I think this guy was making puri.  It was fascinating how he would turn it then hold down a section until the rest puffed up and then turn and repeat.

Another street.

This was an Indian drinks and sweets place.  This guy on the right - holding the cigarette, was having tea and a sweet which he told us we must try.  I don't remember what it was.

This crown in the middle of the intersection is a sign of the monarchy.  I never saw one before with googly eyes.

A business for sale.

It's dusk - the lights are turned on and are blue.

It was around here that we saw our first westerners of the evening.  There are not many white people in JB at all.  We definitely are an oddity.  No one stares at us, but we do stick out.

This is the Pos Besar Johor Bahru or the General Post Office.

Water reflection from recent rains.

The Zero Kilometre sign.

"The Heart of the Nation"  shows the distance from this spot in Johor Bahru to other cities.

People waiting for a bus.

"You are noticed!"  That is what this sign says.
