Granddaughter Jojo is a student at University in Madrid. We saw her when we were in Madrid in late September - she was able to take a weekend off from her studies to visit us. We picked her up from the train station in Alicante around 5pm on Friday night and will return her to the train station Sunday early afternoon. She just wanted to spend time with us and maybe learn how to cook some dishes from her Grandpa.
The cooking took place on Saturday between study breaks.
They made a bean dish and fried rice. Jojo is doing some of the prep work here.
Top left - Chicken cut into small pieces, next onions, flavor mix and squash and mushrooms
Bottom Bowl - flat beans.

Next is a series of 5 videos - trying to capture all the steps in making the fried rice.

The final fried rice dish
The best part for the chefs - eating the final products!
We also took walks, shopped for ingredients, and of-course got ice cream!
