Apollonia

This city was founded at the beginning of the7th century BC by Greek colonists.  It also includes a monastery and a Byzantine church.

 This design has been in several churches we have visited.  It is most likely a calendar.  This one does not show the 4 seasons, which are lighter blocks in the four corners outside the circle.  I can't explain how it works other than one of the circles is the months, then the weeks, etc.
