I woke up very late - so we choose something close by - The Garden of Capricio. This garden is free and only open on the weekends.
The Old Ladies House.
And her cold weather garden.
Since it is a sunny day - the water features stand out.
The wild boar - another Spanish symbol.
One of the many photogenic buildings in the park.
Apparently Sphinxs were female. Human with a lion body and wings. These do not have wings. But they do have bear breasts!
RM found a German restaurant close by that said it was open until mid-night. Unfortunately - that meant it was open for beer - but not food after lunch (4pm) and late at night for dinner. We ended up across the street at the Burger King. She could have a vege burger and I could have a chicken sandwich. At least we were not hungry! Then home for the evening. Lunch time is very specific here - restaurants are only open from 2pm to 4pm. Otherwise you are out of luck!
Thanks to you, I am learning more wbout restaurant culture here.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Alexis, you are right. We were in a neighborhood for just locals, and the waitress suggested Burger King because she knew we wouldn't find anything else open.
Wow. You were really on your photography game today! So many neat water shots. I particularly like the one with boar and the bubbles coming down the water. Looks like the low angle winter light really created some dramatic scenes.
