With the girls successfully on their way back to their parents, Michael and I head back to El Campello and our last day at the apartment. We have packing and cleaning up to do. But more importantly - napping - to catch up sleep from our early morning. Around 3pm we took our last walk on the promenade. My last haledo for 2024.
We leave on Tuesday to fly to Amsterdam, overnight at a hotel near the airport and then leave on Wednesday for the U.S.
Photos from the last couple of days.
Sunday was a very cloudy overcast day with lots of rain. We were glad to all stay in the apartment.
Lia and her grandfather work on a post for his blog - she providing many videos from the Alicante castle.
So misty you can barely tell where the horizon is.
And of all the strange things - this is the first Sunday in October that the Lidl was open. We have no idea why - all the other grocery stores seemed to be closed.
Lia had brought with her a t-shirt that she had drawn the design for. It needed to be "fixed" by ironing it. Somehow she talked her grandfather into doing the honors while she recorded it.
Meanwhile, Natasha and I have been battling it out in card games. Mostly Black Jack or the gambling game as she calls it, and Go Fish.
I was the winner on Sunday. I must say she was a very gracious loser. So proud of her!
Goodbye El Campello until next year!
